This restaurant as been a well good qaulity restaurant in Lagos state please try to make your self a participant. There is all u need in the restaurant.
Great place to have authentic India and Chinese cuisines. This is not really a fusion restaurant, they have 2 distinct menus for each. I have slight preference for the Indian food. It cost aroud ₦15K for me and my friend. Customer service is really good. The ambience makes it feel like a Buddha Temple. It turns into a nightclub late at night.
I miss the days when Spice Route was exclusive. Now everyone wants to take their significant other there and its so crowded! Not to mention all the shady characters there nowadays. Food is still good though but management needs to sort out some other issues.
I like Spice Route mainly for the ambiance. The food isn't bad at all, although it's not the best Indian food in Lagos. Their cocktails are always on point for me.
Spice Route is a mixture of club + restaurant. The club bit plays almost no Nigerian music and loads of techno/house music. I'm a fan of both genres, but it's a bit ridiculous that the dj seems to forget he is playing within Nigeria. I understand that 70% of the cross there are expats, but what about the 30%. Maybe they changed their dj, but last year, the music mix was much better.
The food is pretty good. The last time I bought dinner here, I purchased a meal to go and forgot it on the table. I called the staff within 10 minutes of leaving and I was informed that it was trashed. Smelled like foul play to me.
Luckily for them, I was leaving Nigeria the next morning for about 3 weeks, so I couldn't go back in to demand for a refund within reasonable time.
Sherlaton down the street is not as fancy looking, but offers better food at lower prices + better customer service (Sherlaton also runs for 24hrs).
Food always tastes good and the ambience is really great. Could be difficult getting any attention from waiters when they get really busy...
Like this place- good food, good ambiance. Staff is also very friendly and attentive. But if you don't mind not being in a fancy place, the Sherlaton Hotel down the road has just as great Indian food at a fraction of the cost. But like I said, make sure you are ok not being in a fancy, ritzy place.
