  One afternoon after work, a friend and I decided to check out this restaurant Newton Chops that we hadn’t been to before. I had purchased a deal from Dealdey, so why not? Apparently it is in the same place as The Juice Place II. There are a lot of shawarma places in Abuja and I love finding new and better ones. We both ordered a chicken shawarma each. The waiter had a bit of an attitude, like we were disturbing him especially since we weren’t ordering anything big. Here I was thinking business was business, considering we were the only customers there, he should have been happy. I think it was the fact that I mentioned I had a Dealdey deal for the shawarma.

  When the waiter brought the shawarma, he brought the two on one plate as though we were to be eating from the same plate. I didn’t like the shawarma. It was bland and just not on my list of top tasty shawarmas. My friend on the other hand said it wasn’t bad to her and she seemed to enjoy it. Then again she did say she was very hungry so maybe, the hunger made her overlook the taste. I’m not sure what else they sell there other than the fresh juices at Juice Place, but I don’t think I would be back. Not necessarily because of the bad shawarma, but more so because of the bad customer service. I felt like I was eating a school canteen rather than a restaurant in the heart of town.
