The ambience at Noir Lagos is lovely and more importantly the menu is focused; no long thing. Start with the ice cold oysters to wet your appetite. Go straight to the filet mignon; probably the best steak in Lagos so far. If steak is not your thing, my date had the black cod - highly recommended as well. Service continues to improve. Overall, another great addition to Lagos restaurant scene!
Great little find in this part of Lagos - Gypsy's is a cozy and romantic spot to grab delicious Indian food. Portions are generous as well.
Remember Kabachi...the amazing Chinese at Ventura Mall. Well that spot closed down for some reason. Anyway the team is back in New Bodija with a new restaurant called Ibachi (Ibadan Chinese, get it?!?) and still have some of that secret sauce. Effectively I need to repeat my old review cuz they still got it! This is the Best Chinese Restaurant in Ibadan hands down.
Please don't argue with me - you have to visit to appreciate this place. The interior design is breath-taking, the food is beyond delicious.
The food and ambience was actually good but service can be slow and sub par sometimes. It is not cheap either
Found utopia on Ofadaa. Amazing experience and great ambience. Low key location for a romantic dinner for two. The decor is outstanding.
The snails was actually good. Cocktails was also strong.
Great chill out spot with good suya. The pizza is one of the best in Lagos. Has a big tv to catch the game on Sunday.
It is cash only which is annoying.
Had a pit stop at KFC in MMA2 after coming in from Abuja. For some reason, they didn't let me take pictures with my professional camera (which annoyed me - dinged the rating by 0.5 as a result). I got the chicken burger and it was really good.
Came here for a pre-existing wedding dinner with friends (great for groups). The ambience and setup of this restaurant was really good. This wasn't surprising given this is part of 805 London. The food came quickly and was very delicious.
It was relatively easy to locate. It is like having 4 restaurants in one place. Really enjoyed the outdoor space.
They have a good art collection which adds to the ambience. The waiters are generally attentive and know the menu well to guide you if you don't know what to get. Great place to hangout
This is the joint for small chops. You can't go wrong. However the mains can be hit or miss sometimes; expected the food to taste better
Despite the lovely ambience, I think service levels have dropped in recent months. Not sure why, used to be a great place to hangout with good food options.
This is the Best Asian Restaurant in Ibadan hands down (if not Nigeria sef). Please don't argue with me - you have to visit to appreciate this place. The interior design is breath-taking, the food is beyond delicious. Who knew this existed in Ibadan! Thank me later...
This is one of those down-low fine dining romantic spots in Lagos (another one is Mela Rossa in Ikoyi). It is always sort of empty.
Located in the same building as Café Royal, Métisse is one of the best Pan-Asian Restaurants in Lagos. The Mongolian beef dish is highly recommended.
If you want to score some points with your lady, definitely a place to go.
Another expat-centric joint especially for the British
This is NOT a family friendly restaurant - don't take your wife and kids here o. In the evening, this is a place for Nigerian ladies looking to hang out with single / willing expats for fun in exchange for dosh.
I prefer Churchills in Lekki
Churchill is one of the best-kept secret brunch places in Lagos. It is an expat-centric joint. They call it the "Local" serving all-day British Breakfast while you catch a game or two of footie.
Also had the infamous fish & chips here - it was very nice!
I tend to stay from here in the evenings, the value-proposition changes if you know what I mean.
Unusual Cuisine recently moved to this new location in Lekki from VI. For those that remember, the ₦1,500 buffet used to draw a crowd. Lets just say it wasn't great. Never understood it (actually I do...all you eat)
Anyways, new joint is smaller and the service has improved. The Banga Soup and Pepper Soup (not in that order) are to die for sha. Also they have free wifi - just ask
Bungalow is one of the best restaurants in Lagos with an extensive menu ranging from Burgers, Sushi / Asian to Mexican cuisines. Feels like a Delta terminal in JFK with the IPAD ordering technology - looks good and makes the process efficient. It is more of a sports bar; I usually make a stop here to grab a beer and watch the beautiful game (football) - really like the atmosphere. I will try out the Teppanyaki service next time.
One of the best boutique cafes to hang out in Lagos - the coffee is just too amazing. I like cafe neo but this is a level above and beyond. Thoughtful and amazing decor with influences from all around Africa. Do check out the art gallery as well
